Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Van Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province - expressed his deep gratitude for the Party's leadership and the government's coordination so that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province can promote its role and task of gathering the strength of national solidarity.
This Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels was held from the grassroots level, a period of extensive political activities, contributing to raising awareness of the cause of great national unity, promoting campaigns and patriotic emulation movements towards successfully implementing the tasks of economic, social development, national defense and security of each locality and the province.
"Over the past period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province has achieved many outstanding and quite comprehensive results, the organizational apparatus has been arranged according to the model of a two-level government; the great national unity bloc continues to be consolidated and promoted; Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements have been widely deployed, attracting the participation of many classes of people; mobilizing the contribution of people and property to social security activities, building bridges, roads, eliminating temporary houses, houses in ruins, promoting education, encouraging talents, supporting vulnerable groups, supporting compatriots affected by natural disasters, floods...; contributing to Dong Thap province to complete the task of building new rural areas and successfully implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025", Mr. Thang informed.
Previously, at the first working session held on December 4, the Congress presented the draft Summary Report for the 2024 - 2029 term and the direction, goals and action program for the 2025 - 2030 term. Report on the review of the activities of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024 - 2029 term. In addition, the Congress agreed to appoint 116 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term I, 2025 - 2030.
