Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs said that on March 15, the whole province had 407,164/407,339 voters (reaching a rate of 99.96%) voting to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026-2031.
According to the vote counting results, Dien Bien province has elected enough 7 National Assembly deputies out of a total of 13 candidates; 50 Provincial People's Council deputies from 83 candidates; 924 commune-level People's Council deputies out of a total of 1,556 candidates.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Lan - Vice Chairwoman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Council affirmed that the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026-2031 in the province took place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely, economically and successfully.
Congratulating 50 delegates elected as delegates of the 16th Provincial People's Council, Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Lan affirmed that elected delegates are people with political qualities, morality, capacity and prestige, trusted by voters to represent the will and aspirations of the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Lan also proposed that in the coming time, central and local press agencies continue to propagate the election results and the list of winning candidates so that voters and people know and follow.
