On December 5, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025 - 2030, continued with the second working session.
At the congress, delegates voted to agree on the direction of activities for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, the Front will continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; innovate the method of coordination and action unity.
The Front identifies the People as the center, subject, goal and driving force of innovation; harmoniously combining democracy - discipline - rule of law. In addition, expand grassroots democracy, promote social dialogue, along with discipline, enforcement, the rule of law and respect for differences. Movements will be shifted from form to reality, based on data and figures; prioritizing models that can be replicated quickly, have reasonable costs, have a great impact, and bring practical benefits to the people.
The Congress emphasized the enhancement of the core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and member organizations in building the great national unity bloc; focusing on disseminating and propagating 7 breakthrough resolutions of the Politburo to develop the country in the new era.
At the same time, the Front will promote and effectively improve the role of autonomy and self-management of the people in the community; promote the role of member organizations and advisory councils in supervision and social criticism; strengthen the role of religious organizations as a bridge between the Party and the State with status and followers in the cause of national construction and development.
In addition, the Front continues to innovate the organization, content and methods of operation, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period; promote activities towards the grassroots and residential areas.
The province also aims to build a team of Front cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, creativity, enthusiasm and responsibility; good at mass mobilization work, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. The Front promotes the role of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation at all levels, ensuring connectivity, moving towards operating the Front work through a digital platform, reducing the use of paper documents.
In the new term, focus will be on 5 key tasks of breakthrough nature, including: Promoting the role of local governance of the people through self-management models in the community (Self-management groups, Hoi Nhan, Great Unity Day for the community, Great Unity space, Professional farmers...); Improving the quality of supervision and social criticism work, enhancing responsibility for resolution and response after supervision; Improving the quality of the activities of the Fatherland Front system and socio-political organizations in the province, especially the activities of branches, organizations and Front Working Committees in hamlets and villages; Promoting the effectiveness of comments and consultation activities on contents related to the work of the Fatherland Front in the new period; Effectively implementing the model of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and social networks to include in the activities of the mass, mass, and clearer the results of the day after the death.
