The joy of a house "no one is left behind"
In the atmosphere of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), on November 8, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Kinh Ward coordinated with Red Star Hai Phong Group to hand over the Great Unity house to Ms. Vu Thi Lieu's household in residential group No. 2, Duong Kinh Ward. The house of Mrs. Vu Thi Lieu started construction in February 2025, and is now completed spaciously and solidly in the joy and happiness of her family and the villagers.
Mobilized to receive the house, Ms. Vu Thi Lieu thanked all levels, sectors and philanthropists for joining hands and contributing to her family's spacious house as it is today. The house is not only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, but also has the meaning of solidarity and humanity, a great source of spiritual encouragement to help Ms. Lieu's family have more motivation and rise up in life.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone also presented funding to support the construction of the Great Solidarity House for the household of Ms. Pham Thi Thoa (born in 1971, residing in Ao Coi village, Cat Hai special zone). Ms. Thoa is a household with difficult circumstances, her husband died early, and currently lives with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Her level 4 house was built in 1991, with an area of about 30m2, the corrugated iron roof has seriously degraded, no longer ensuring safety during the rainy and stormy season.
Faced with the difficult circumstances of Ms. Pham Thi Thoa's family - Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone - has mobilized Tan Cang Saigon Corporation to support 80 million VND to build a "Great Unity" house. This support source not only contributes to helping Ms. Thoa's family have a new, more solid and safer house, but also demonstrates the spirit of sharing and social responsibility of the enterprise towards the community.
Ms. Vu Thi My Lien - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Hai Special Zone - emphasized that supporting the construction of a "Great Unity" house is an activity of profound humanistic significance, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in society. At the same time, it affirms the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in connecting and spreading the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, building an increasingly sustainable community in the special zone.

Nearly 2,000 Great Unity houses
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, from 2024 to present, the Fatherland Front at all levels has supported the construction and repair of 1,929 solidarity houses with a total cost of VND 116.4 billion; presented over 340,700 gifts worth over VND 370.2 billion. Each household is supported with 100 million VND to build a new solid house with a minimum area of 30m2, ensuring the "3 hard" criteria including hard foundation, hard wall frame, hard roof.
Along with the City Fatherland Front, from the end of October until now, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the city has launched the "For the Poor" Peak Month, increasing the mobilization of agencies, organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to participate in supporting the "For the Poor" fund or directly supporting poor and near-poor households to develop production and build solidarity houses. Head of the Front Work Committee of Que Lam village, Kien Thuy commune, Ngo Van Diem informed that the movement to support the "For the Poor" Fund has received positive responses from the people.
Front officials went to each house to mobilize, each household contributed at least 20,000 VND, and well-off people 100,000-200,000 VND. The whole village earned more than 10 million VND. Although the amount is not large, it is a heart, demonstrating the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the local people.
For the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city sets a target for each year to organize activities to mobilize resources to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels strives to mobilize from 60-80 billion VND from social resources, including mobilizing through the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels from 40 billion VND or more and through social security programs from 20 billion VND or more, aiming to have no more poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard by 2026/30.
