On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), on November 25, in Hanoi, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the VFF Party Committee, and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long visited and congratulated the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam.
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long sent his best wishes to the Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day.
Recalling the deep affection between the two peoples, especially the heritage that President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and previous generations of leaders have long cultivated, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long affirmed that it is the foundation for building the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long congratulated the achievements that the Lao people have achieved over the past 50 years, especially under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; and expressed his confidence that the Lao Party, State and people will continue to reap more success in the cause of building an independent, peaceful and prosperous country.
Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long thanked the Lao Party, State and people for their support, attachment and loyalty to Vietnam in the cause of national liberation as well as national construction and development; emphasized that today's generations need to continue to preserve and foster the special relationship between the two countries.
Referring to the cooperation between the two Front agencies, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long said that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of the Lao National Construction Front have maintained effective coordination with the 5 signed cooperation agreements. In recent times, the two sides have implemented many practical activities such as friendly exchanges, training - coaching of cadres, and coordinating the implementation of socio-economic development programs. On the basis of the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two States, the Front agencies of the two countries will continue to promote cooperation, contributing to further deepening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh thanked the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the special attention and affection that the Lao Party, State and people have for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day. The Ambassador affirmed that the congratulations and support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front vividly demonstrate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples; and are a great source of encouragement for Laos in the cause of protecting and building the country and in the process of preparing for commemorative activities.
Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh highly appreciated the effectiveness of coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Lao Fatherland Front in building the country, considering these practical activities, contributing to enhancing understanding, strengthening solidarity and mutual support. Cooperation programs not only have people's diplomatic significance but also make important contributions to the development of each country.
