Supporting 65 billion VND to help Nghe An overcome the consequences of floods

QUANG ĐẠI |

Nghe An - The support of 65 billion VND will be used to renovate and repair 1,000 houses damaged and collapsed due to the impact of floods.

On August 5, 2025, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) issued Decision No. 87 on supporting Nghe An province with 65 billion VND to overcome the damage caused by floods.

Accordingly, the money was transferred to the Office of the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate with functional units to organize support to repair 500 houses that were collapsed, collapsed, completely washed away or forced to be urgently relocated (each house was supported with 100 million VND); repair 500 houses that were severely damaged (each house received 30 million VND).

The above funding source is taken from the Central Relief Fund, through the State Treasury account of Region I. The allocation and use will be chaired and coordinated by the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Relief Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and relevant agencies, ensuring publicity, transparency, and the right subjects.

Previously, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security issued an official dispatch proposing emergency support for Nghe An due to the severe impact of floods in July 2025, causing hundreds of households to lose their homes and places to live, and need to rebuild urgently.

This is a timely decision in the context of Nghe An being heavily affected by natural disasters, contributing to helping people stabilize their housing before the next rainy season.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.

"A piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full", with the spirit of mutual love that has always been a beautiful image of the Vietnamese people, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund calls on domestic and foreign philanthropists to join hands to share with people affected by floods.... to soon stabilize their lives.

The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund would like to sincerely thank the precious feelings of agencies, businesses, and domestic and foreign philanthropists.
