On August 16, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society said that it had just issued a letter calling on agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists and people in the province to join hands to support the Cuban people.
In the letter, Nghe An Red Cross Society emphasized: over the past 65 years, the solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba has become an exemplary, pure and sustainable international relationship. When Vietnam was still in the war years, Cuba provided food, medicine, experts and was ready to donate its blood to help Vietnam.
Cuba is currently facing many difficulties due to economic crisis, natural disasters and international embargoes. More than ever, our solidarity and sharing are a great source of encouragement for Cuban friends to steadfastly overcome challenges the call letter stated.
Nghe An Red Cross Society calls on cadres, members, volunteers, Red Cross youth, agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists and people in the province to participate in donating in cash or by bank transfer. All donations will be received and managed publicly and transparently. The receipt period is until October 16, 2025.

Hopefully this sharing will contribute to encouraging Cuba to overcome the difficult period".
Ms. Nguyen Luong Hong - President of Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society affirmed: "Each heart shared is a bridge connecting the two peoples of Vietnam - Cuba, and is also a meaningful humanitarian activity in the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year".
