On August 26, Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs held a seminar to review the tradition, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the State Organization Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs (November 17, 1945 - November 17, 2025).
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of the Department of Home Affairs: "Although going through many historical periods with many different conditions, generations of cadres and civil servants of the Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs have always united, making important contributions to the common development of the industry and the province".
In particular, the implementation of streamlining the apparatus, from March 1, 2025, Dien Bien province has organized the merger of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs into the Department of Home Affairs, renaming the Department of Home Affairs.
According to the Director of the Department of Home Affairs, in the short period from March to July 2025, under great pressure and workload, it requires close attention to quality and implementation progress.
The Department of Home Affairs has focused on thoroughly grasping the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time", civil servants and public employees of the Department working regardless of day or night, without days off, resolutely and wholeheartedly to promptly advise on the development and implementation of the plan and project to arrange 129 commune-level administrative units into 45 new commune-level administrative units.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong - Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee - affirmed: "After 60 years of establishment, Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs has continuously grown strongly, actively and proactively advised on the organization of local government, administrative reform, apparatus arrangement, and administrative reform, especially in the period of arranging local government at 2 levels".
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong also hopes that the collective leadership and staff of the Department of Home Affairs will continue to promote the glorious tradition, solidarity and innovation to make the Dien Bien provincial administration increasingly professional, effective and efficient, serving better people and businesses.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister decided to award the Emulation Flag of the Government to the Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs; the People's Committee of Dien Bien province awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and individuals of the Department of Home Affairs with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the State Organization Day...
