On June 27, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that the locality had completed the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in excess of the set plan.
Responding to the Prime Minister's call for the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide", Lam Dong province has quickly issued a Plan and implemented it strongly and drastically to improve living conditions for poor and near-poor households.

Since implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Lam Dong province has achieved remarkable results.
With a total of 2,044 houses built and repaired. Of which, there are 118 houses for people with revolutionary contributions, 1,740 houses for poor and near-poor households, and 186 houses from the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas.
The program was completed 2 months ahead of the Government's plan and exceeded the set targets.
In the new, spacious house, Mr. K Thieu (residing in village 1, B'la commune, Bao Lam district, Lam Dong) with an area of 60m2 shared very happily.
This is a long-standing dream of the family but has not been able to be realized. Fortunately, his family was given attention and support of 50 million VND to build a house.
From this support source, his family raised and borrowed more money from relatives to build a house with a total cost of more than 200 million VND.
"My wife and I are very happy to have a solid house to shield us from the rain and wind. The house is the motivation for couples to work with peace of mind and develop the economy. I am very grateful to the Party, the State, and local authorities for their attention and support for me and people in remote and isolated areas that are still facing difficulties, Mr. K Thieu shared.
This success is not only the result of impressive numbers but also the close coordination between agencies, departments and localities.
From developing a plan, issuing operating regulations, to establishing a Steering Committee Support Team, each individual and organization has a clear responsibility in implementing the program.
Along with that, inspection and supervision work has been carried out regularly, ensuring objectivity and efficiency, thanks to the active participation of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations.
The success of the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is also a testament to the strength of the spirit of solidarity and unity in the community.
