Towards the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the Southern Soldier's Heart Club has just held a launching ceremony for the program "Portraits and Dialogue with Vietnamese Generals". The event gathered many writers, journalists, veterans and senior generals from various periods.
Speaking at the ceremony, veteran Nguyen Cong Trung, Chairman of the Southern Soldier Heart Club, emphasized that the special feature of the program "Portraits and Dialogue with Vietnamese Generals" is the establishment of a specialized historical dialogue space.

The scope of activities of the program is expanded beyond the club office space through many meaningful field trips. Generals will directly return to their old units and old battlefields to exchange and share memories. These activities are widely broadcast both live and online on digital and television platforms, bringing authentic materials to honor the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and add motivation to the young generation.
Also at the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hai, former Director of the Institute of National Defense Strategy, Ministry of National Defense, emotionally proposed a humane proposal. He said that the program should honor even ordinary soldiers who have made great contributions instead of focusing only on generals. He added that there are individuals who, due to the specific nature of their tasks and the assignment of the organization, do not hold high ranks, but their greatness in the hearts of everyone far exceeds all ranks. The peace and beautiful life that we enjoy today are all exchanged for the blood and bones of those people.

Sharing the same goal, Colonel, journalist Tran The Tuyen, former Deputy Director of the Press Department, former Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, said that the depiction of the image of a soldier needs to highlight two core aspects: courageous actions and heroic qualities, expressed throughout from wartime to peacetime.
In addition, for these messages to truly touch and create a deep connection with the younger generation, each story about a soldier must be unique and different. He emphasized the importance of exploring and clarifying the brilliant highlights and particularly outstanding achievements. According to him, it is the unique and unmistakable personal imprints of each general that are the key factor to attract and inspire learning and following for the community.

Based on heartfelt contributions, the project to depict portraits and dialogue with Vietnamese generals is expected to promote its role as a bridge connecting information and historical memories. This will be a meaningful space for previous generations to share practical experiences, thereby conveying the fire of enthusiasm and patriotism to young people.
Also within the framework of the event, the Southern Soldier's Heart Club carried out personnel consolidation work by officially announcing and awarding appointment decisions to two new Vice Chairmen of the Executive Council.
