On the morning of August 28, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province organized a ceremony to pay respects to the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery, Trung An ward, and offer flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026), National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026) and Traditional Day of the Provincial Armed Forces.
Attending the funeral were Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province; Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, agencies, socio-political organizations and the provincial armed forces.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense in front of the Fatherland Monument and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the cause of national liberation, national reunification and national defense. After the memorial service, provincial leaders and delegates went to each grave to burn incense and commemorate the martyrs resting at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery.

The activity is an opportunity for the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap to express their gratitude to those who have dedicated their youth and blood and bones to the independence and freedom of the nation. Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Dong Thap province vowed to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, unite, and strive to complete assigned tasks, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland, and building and firmly protecting the Fatherland with the whole country.
