On September 30, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the North-South Road project to serve Phu Thuan Industrial Park and Phong Nam Industrial Cluster (line DT.DK.08) (abbreviated as the project).
The project aims to celebrate the 1st Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, the North-South Road project serving Phu Thuan Industrial Park and Phong Nam Industrial Park (DT.DK.08) has a total investment of 250 billion VND, the implementation period is 2023 - 2026, with the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board as the investor.
This is one of the key projects, with important political, economic and social significance, demonstrating the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Long in concretizing the Congress Resolution with practical and effective projects; at the same time, it is also a project to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Truc Son - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee - said that the province is determined to develop sustainably, invest in infrastructure as a foundation for industry, trade and services, in which Phu Thuan Industrial Park and Phong Nam Industrial Park are important driving forces.
The DT.DK.08 route has become a " strategic connecting line" connecting industrial parks and clusters with ports, bridges and key economic regions, reducing transportation costs, shortening the time for goods circulation and attracting investment capital.
To complete the project on schedule, the provincial leaders requested the Traffic Project Management Board to closely coordinate with relevant units, strengthen inspection, supervision, compliance with the law, and promptly handle arising difficulties.
Local authorities and contractors must carry out compensation, site clearance, ensure security, order and people's rights; at the same time, construct on schedule, ensure quality, technical standards, labor safety, and environmental sanitation.
"After completion, the project will not only promote the socio-economic development but also create a highlight in the construction of new rural areas, civilized urban areas and transport infrastructure systems of Vinh Long" - Mr. Son emphasized this content.
