On the evening of July 10, Mr. Le Trong Yen - Standing Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Pham Van Duc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, visited and encouraged the families of the victims who died in the drowning incident in Nam Nung commune.
At the families, Mr. Le Trong Yen sent his deepest condolences for the great loss of the families, and at the same time hoped that the relatives of the children would soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees, local authorities, schools and families to strengthen management and supervision of children during the summer; promote propaganda and equip children with drowning prevention and safety skills.
He also requested functional agencies to review areas of ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, and irrigation dams that pose a risk of unsafety to plant warning signs and implement preventive measures to limit similar incidents.
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee presented support of 10 million VND to each family with drowning victims.

In the afternoon of the same day, leaders of Nam Nung commune visited, expressed condolences and supported each family with 8 million VND from the local contingency fund.
The Red Cross Society of Lam Dong province also supported each family with 3 million VND.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 8:30 am on July 10, 8 students of Nam N'Dir Secondary School invited each other to Dak Pok irrigation lake (Quang Ha village, Nam Nung commune) to swim.
While swimming, 5 children unfortunately fell into a deep water area and drowned. The remaining three children ran to report to the people and local authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the police force, the Military Command of the commune and people quickly organized a search. At about 11:20 am, all 5 victims were found dead.
The victims include: D.M.T, L.T.Y.C, B.T.T, L.T.N and B.T.N.Y, all born in 2015 (11 years old) and students of Nam N'Dir Secondary School.
