The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has just issued a plan to organize activities "Month of Listening to the People" to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, strengthen social consensus and promote the role of the people as the subjects in the renovation and construction of the country.
The plan was issued to concretize the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Agencies, term 2025 - 2030 and the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
According to the plan, the "Month of Listening to the People" activity will be implemented annually nationwide, from provincial to commune levels, ensuring practicality and effectiveness, avoiding formality and overlap in coordination. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at all levels will directly go to the grassroots level to dialogue and contact people, especially vulnerable groups and those who have not participated in associations and unions.
One of the goals of the program is to strive for 100% of opinions, reflections, and recommendations of people to be transferred to competent agencies and individuals for consideration, resolution and timely response according to regulations.
Within the framework of "Listening to the People's Voices Month", the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels will organize "People's Forum" or "Listening to the People's Voices" forum, focusing on issues of concern to the people such as perfecting the two-level local government model; private economic development, innovation; ethnic and religious policies; apartment building management, land, planning; social security, health, education and food safety.
In addition, localities are encouraged to maintain and replicate effective models such as "Weekend with the People", "Listening to the People's Voices, Telling the People to Listen", "People's Coffee", "Front Tea Room" and "Electronic Mail Box - Front Listens 24/7".
To expand the channel for receiving people's opinions, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will build the "Month of Listening to the People" column on the Digital Front Portal, and at the same time promote receiving feedback through social networks, emails and media of the Front and socio-political organizations.
Localities are also required to regularly evaluate, draw experience, and select creative and effective models to replicate throughout the Vietnam Fatherland Front system.
