On the morning of June 6, at the National Launching Ceremony to respond to World Environment Day, World Oceans Day, spreading the message "All people join hands to protect the environment" held in Cua Lo ward (Nghe An province), Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee read the Call for all people to join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam.

Our country Vietnam is entering a new era of development, an era of innovation and international integration. The entire Party, people, and army are striving to emulate, unite, join hands and be united, determined to successfully implement the goal of rapid and sustainable national development, for the prosperity, civilization, and happiness of the people.
However, besides the great achievements in socio-economics, we are facing environmental pollution, rapid increase in domestic solid waste, air pollution, water pollution, depletion of resources, plastic waste, dirty food and the negative impacts of climate change are directly threatening people's health, growth quality and sustainable development of the country. Environmental pollution is no longer a distant warning, but a real challenge affecting every meal, breath and quality of daily life of people.
Our Party and State always identify environmental protection as a matter of vital importance to national development. The Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress clearly defines the goal of closely and harmoniously linking economic, cultural, and social development with environmental protection and improving the quality of people's lives. Thus, environmental protection is no longer a choice, but a responsibility of action of each agency, organization, business, family and each citizen, an important condition for implementing the country's rapid and sustainable development goals in the new period.
With that spirit, in order to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc and spread community-oriented action movements, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front calls on all compatriots, cadres, soldiers, all classes of people in the country and overseas Vietnamese, agencies, units, businesses, organizations, and individuals to actively respond to the emulation movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" with specific, practical and regular actions.
Every citizen, first of all cadres and party members, should start from the simplest actions: do not litter indiscriminately into the environment; limit the use of nylon bags and disposable plastic products; save electricity and domestic water; plant and care for green trees; maintain hygiene in public places.
Each family builds a civilized and environmentally friendly lifestyle; maintains "clean houses, clean kitchens, clean alleys"; sorts waste at source; builds landscapes and green spaces; builds green - clean - beautiful, progressive, prosperous and happy families.
Each residential area promotes the spirit of solidarity and self-management, regularly organizes environmental sanitation, does not allow waste to accumulate, does not allow spontaneous landfills; cleans and beautifies village roads, alleys, and streets; forms green roads, alleys, green neighborhoods, green inter-family groups, green and model residential clusters.
Each commune, ward, and special zone promotes its core role, maintains environmental protection activities; organizes good collection and treatment of waste; forms and develops streets, inter-village and inter-commune roads, fields, canals, ditches, rivers, lakes, beaches, public places, religious establishments, and cultural gathering points that are green, clean, and beautiful.
Each agency, unit, school, enterprise and production facility should exemplarily comply with the law on environmental protection; innovate technology, reduce emissions; maintain a green, clean, and beautiful working environment; organize propaganda, education, and promote good initiatives and solutions on environmental protection.
Maintaining a green - clean - beautiful environment is not only a responsibility but also a moral principle, a cultural beauty of the Vietnamese nation in the new era. It is also contributing to building a green, civilized, responsible lifestyle for the community and for the sustainable development of the country.
With the spirit of "Each citizen is a green citizen - Each family is a green space - Each residential area, agency, and unit is a green community", we believe that the emulation movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" will spread strongly throughout the country, becoming a practical and regular action movement of all classes of people. Each small action of yours today will contribute to creating a big change for the community tomorrow.
