From the VIII Congress to now, the work of mobilizing farmers to participate in implementing national target programs has been actively and effectively implemented.
Promoting the role of the subject and center of farmers in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction, the movement "Farmers emulate in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" has been innovated and improved in quality.
Annually, mobilizing 6.5 million households to register (reaching 112.6% of the plan, exceeding 19.1% of the set target), of which over 3.4 million households achieved the title of good production and business at all levels (reaching 121.3% of the plan, exceeding 27.5% of the set target), many typical examples with good and creative initiatives and ways of doing things have appeared.
Guided the establishment of 705 new Farmers' Clubs for good production and business; mobilized farmers for good production and business to support and help 56,786 poor households and households facing difficulties in capital, materials, and jobs to rise out of poverty; focused on commending advanced examples, promoting a more substantive movement.
The work of mobilizing farmers to participate in implementing national target programs has been actively and effectively implemented. Farmers have donated over 530 hectares of land, contributed 4.6 million working days; built new and repaired over 3.5 thousand km of rural roads and inter-field canals;
Building 11,125 environmental protection models (reaching 282.9% of the plan, exceeding 12.3% of the term target), establishing 1,632 Farmers' Environmental Protection Clubs, contributing to building new rural areas. Models "Clean villages, beautiful fields", "Lighting up rural villages", "Environmentally friendly trash cans", "Saying no to nylon bags and plastic waste" are increasingly spreading, making rural areas "bright - green - clean - beautiful".
Promote guidance and support for farmers to effectively implement livelihood diversification models, sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development projects in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, contributing to improving living standards.
Activities to support and guide members and farmers to develop new agricultural production models, linkage and cooperation models according to the value chain, and effective economic models in agriculture and rural areas continue to be promoted.
Proactively coordinate with businesses and scientists to guide and support farmers in building and replicating 4,977 production models applying science and technology, biotechnology; develop cooperation models, value chain linkages, build concentrated raw material areas associated with applying standard technical processes, production area codes; advise and support brand building for 4,605 agricultural products, 5,484 products certified OCOP 3 stars or higher, improving competitiveness and value of agricultural products.
Coordinate guidance and support farmers to participate in high-quality and low-emission rice production, build and replicate green, organic, circulating, high-tech agricultural models, agriculture combined with tourism.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Breakthrough - Cooperation - Development", the IX National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union identified the direction for the 5-year term (2026-2031) as building a strong Vietnam Farmers' Union; promoting the role of farmers as subjects and centers in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction; arousing the aspiration to develop a strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy country in the new era.
In the 5-year term (2026-2031), the Vietnam Farmers' Union strives for 100% of cadres and members to be propagated, disseminated, and educated on the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State, resolutions, and directives of the Union;
Admission of 500,000 new members or more;
Establish 25,000 new professional Farmers' Association groups, 2,500 professional Farmers' Association branches; advise and support at least 18,000 professional Farmers' Association groups, 3,000 professional Farmers' Association branches in producing, processing, and trading agricultural products and food according to safe quality processes and standards;
Annually, 60% or more of farming households register to strive and 50% or more of households register to achieve the title of good production and business at all levels;
Supporting the establishment of 5,000 new cooperative groups, 1,000 agricultural cooperatives; guiding and supporting at least 4,500 cooperative groups, 1,500 agricultural cooperatives producing, processing, and trading according to safe quality processes and standards, including at least 300 cooperatives connecting safe food supply chains...
