Ambassador" propagates in every family
According to Mr. Vu Van Tien - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Member of the Party Committee Executive Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the VFF, Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the VFF, Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council on Science and Technology and Digital Transformation of the Central Committee of the VFF, candidate for the 16th National Assembly, women play a special role in election work, not only as a large force of voters but also as effective "ambassadors" of propaganda right in each family.
A clear proof of the position of women in current political life is the number of female candidates participating in the election of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam. In the official list, there are 392 female candidates out of a total of 864 people, accounting for 45.37%. According to Mr. Vu Van Tien, this is a very high rate, showing the recognition of the Party and State for the capacity and role of women in political life.
He believes that, with their close, in-depth and persistent characteristics, women are the ones who directly spread the spirit of civic responsibility to each member of the family. From the elderly to young voters who vote for the first time, information about elections is often reminded and shared by women through everyday stories.
In the community, the team of grassroots women's union officials is also the core force in voter mobilization work. They regularly "go to every alley, knock on every door" to review voter lists, ensuring that no citizen is left out in their rights and obligations to participate in the election.
The strength of women also lies in their ability to connect and create consensus in the community. Through branch and women's group meetings, women not only remind each other about voting times and locations but also learn about biographies and action programs of candidates. Thanks to that, information about elections becomes close, easy to receive and widely spread in social life.

Many propaganda initiatives, promoting gender equality
According to Mr. Vu Van Tien, the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels has implemented many creative forms of propaganda to mobilize members and people to participate in elections.
One of the effective ways is to integrate election propaganda content into branch meetings, women's clubs or cultural and artistic activities in the locality. The provisions of the Election Law, which are inherently professional, are conveyed through discussions, Q&A or short skits, helping members understand and remember easily.
In addition, associations at all levels also take advantage of social networks to provide timely information about voter listings, biographies of candidates as well as important milestones of the election. The combination of modern media and direct advocacy methods has helped information spread more widely in the community.
Mr. Vu Van Tien said that the fact that there are 392 female candidates in the official list is not only an impressive number but also reflects the clear progress of gender equality in political life in Vietnam. Among them, there are 45 female candidates with doctoral degrees, 23 people who are leaders and officials of the Women's Union at all levels and 121 candidates who are ethnic minority women.
In particular, the list also includes 7 female faces born after 2000 participating in the election, showing the inheritance and continuity of the young generation in political life.
The diversity in qualifications, age and social composition of female candidates shows that the political environment is increasingly open, democratic and transparent, where women have more opportunities to show their abilities and contribute to the development of the country" - Mr. Tien said.
He also emphasized that each voter's vote is not only a citizen's right but also a sending of faith to those who represent the will and aspirations of the people. For women, participating in the election is also of special significance as they are both voters and people who spread the spirit of responsibility to their families and the community.
According to him, when each citizen is fully aware of their rights and responsibilities, the election will truly become a great festival for the whole people, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the elected bodies and the political system.
