Important factors leading to victory
Faced with new developments in the international and domestic situation, in early 2021, after 30 years of working abroad, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned home with the Party Central Committee to directly lead the revolutionary movement. The person who conveneed and chaired the 8th Conference of the Central Executive Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party (assemble from May 10 to 19,41 in Pac Bo, Ha Quang, Cao Bang).
At this Conference, after analyzing the international and domestic situation, the Party put the ethnic issue first with the immediate goal of gaining national independence: "At this time, the interests of the department and class must be placed under the vitality and survival of the nation and the nation. At this time, if the problem of national liberation cannot be solved, and the independence and freedom of the entire nation cannot be demanded, not only will the entire nation continue to suffer the life of buffaloes and goats, but the rights of the department and class cannot be demanded back for thousands of years".
The conference issued many important decisions, which are decisive for the development of the revolutionary movement and the national liberation movement, such as the issue of building forces, building revolutionary bases, building national solidarity frontage.
In the 2021 Scientific Notice No. 1 of the National Museum of History, author Hoang Ngoc Chinh said that the warehouse of the National Museum of History currently preserves a document of historical value, which is the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference of the Indochinese Communist Party.
The Resolution states ...The essential of the current movement is how to defeat the French and Japanese invaders, carrying out the national liberation revolution. So how to do a strategy to benefit the revolution is necessary... Therefore, the current strategy of our Party is to apply a very unified method of calling for help, how to awaken the ancient national spirit among the people ( above all the Vietnamese people). Therefore, the current cradle front of our Party cannot be called as before the National Unity Front against the Indochina Emperor, but must be renamed another name to have a more national spirit... So the current cradle front of our Party in Vietnam is Vietnam, independent and allies, or in short, Viet Minh...".

Author Hoang Ngoc Chinh also commented that historical reality has proven the victory of the August Revolution as the result of many factors, in which the Viet Minh Front is an important factor contributing to the gathering of the masses, forming a powerful force to build the national unity bloc, and at the same time, the factor that launched the entire people's rise to save the country, bringing the August Revolution to a glorious victory.
Implementing the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, the Viet Minh Front later issued a Declaration, Program and Charter. Viet Minh's declaration is to raise the flag of national liberation, the policy of "unite the patriotic ethnic groups, regardless of rich or poor, young people, men and women, regardless of religion or political trend, let's work together to plan for liberation and survival".
With the policy of saving the country, the Viet Minh Front also affirmed "Viet Minh's policy of uniting all classes of people, revolutionary organizations, and oppressed ethnic groups in Indochina, the moment to overthrow socialism, making Vietnam and the whole of Indochina completely independent".

The Viet Minh Front has proposed a 44-point Rescue Program including policies on politics, economics, society, culture, etc. These programs are a concretization of the ideology of great national unity of the Party and leader Ho Chi Minh. Thanks to clear and correct policies and guidelines, the Viet Minh Front has developed rapidly from rural to urban areas, from the back to the lowlands, contributing to the building and development of political forces and armed forces in preparation for the August Uprising.
On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the first Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the State of Public Security - Agriculture in Southeast Asia.
The flag gathers the strength of the entire people
Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc - Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Culture and Society (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) acknowledged: "The successful August Revolution left many lessons. The most important lesson is that the Party has assigned the responsibility of leading the masses to rise up and win power to its "collaborator", the Viet Minh Front". Under the gathering and leadership of the Viet Minh Front, our people have unanimously stood up to fight for independence and freedom for the country.
Mr. Chuc said that many friends in the world still do not fully understand why a new 15-year-old Party has led the people to rise up to successfully win power from feudal colonialism, bringing the country into an era of independence and freedom. At that time, we only had about 5,000 Party members with very rudimentary weapons and equipment, while the enemy was very strong.

Our Vietnamese people have a tradition of steadfast patriotism, a nation that never submits to any enemy. Despite being oppressed and supported for thousands of years, our people still rise up to reclaim the country, proving that no enemy can oppress and unify this nation. From that precious tradition, the Party has assigned the Viet Minh Front to gather the strength of all classes of people so that when the opportunity comes, they can stand up and regain power in the August Uprising.
The remaining artifacts to date also give us perspectives on the role of the Front in gathering all national forces. Author Hoang Ngoc Chinh said that in the collections of documents and artifacts currently kept at the National Museum of History, the collection of documents and artifacts related to the Viet Minh Front is very diverse in types, rich in materials and printing techniques.
The group of artifacts related to the activities of building political forces includes: Draft of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc on the development of mass organizations and Viet Minh in 1941, Declaration of Vietnam's independence and alliance, signed documents of the General Secretary of Viet Minh, signed documents used on the front of the newspaper "Vietnam Doc Lap", Viet Minh Program, Charter of national rescue organizations...
This collection also contains many documents and artifacts about the strong origin and development of armed forces and arms sales to prepare for the General Uprising to gain power across the country, such as primitive weapons, knives, swords, and guns.
Author Hoang Ngoc Chinh stated: The founding of the Viet Minh Front has raised the national flag, correctly identified the enemy, had correct policies and guidelines, appropriate struggle slogans, met revolutionary requirements, in line with the aspirations and urgent rights of all classes of people, supported by the majority of people, became a flag that gathered the strength of the entire people, and was the basic driving force of the August Revolution in 1945.
The role of the Viet Minh Front not only made a historic mark in the victory of the August Revolution, but also left valuable lessons for the work of building the Front, gathering forces, and national solidarity in the later stages of the revolution.
