Comprehensive strategic partnership
On the morning of March 12, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) received Mr. V.G. Kalganov - Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.
On this occasion, Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga conveyed the best wishes of Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai to the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg City.
At the reception, Vice President - General Secretary Ha Thi Nga shared with Mr. V.G. Kalganov about the process of arranging the organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Accordingly, after arrangement, socio-political organizations will be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front but still maintain relative independence in performing tasks according to the Charter of each organization.
This is the basis for the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promote the strength of national unity, become a solid bridge between the Party, State and people through the participation of socio-political organizations and member organizations; and at the same time help the Front expand its foreign affairs activities with similar partners around the world, especially with the Russian Federation through activities to promote delegation exchanges, organize forums, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges between the two countries" - Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga said and said that with the new apparatus, in the upcoming 16th National Assembly elections, the Vietnam Fatherland Front bloc has 27 people in central agencies participating in the 16th National Assembly election.
Emphasizing that the Party and State of Vietnam always identify the Russian Federation as a special partner through a long-standing traditional friendly relationship and has now become a Comprehensive Strategic Partner, Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga said that with the new operating model, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is always aware of its role and responsibility in participating in promoting the special friendly relationship between the two countries to develop more and more through the realization of commitments and agreements between senior leaders of the two countries, especially in promoting the role of people-to-people diplomacy activities.
Vice Chairman - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga wished that in the coming time, with the role of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg City, a city with a long history of culture, a place with a large number of Vietnamese people and international students living and studying, Mr. V.G. Kalganov would continue to pay attention to and create legal conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, work and make positive contributions to the development of the city; and at the same time continue to connect so that the Vietnam Fatherland Front has more people-to-people exchange activities, together cultivate the special friendship between the people of the two countries, and realize commitments and agreements between the senior leaders of the two countries.
Promoting the role of member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
Thanking the solemn reception of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. V.G. Kalganov said that the new organizational model of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, member organizations brings opportunities for the Russian Federation to promote people-to-people exchanges; organize seminars and exhibitions; promote cooperation in the fields of science and technology, education, training... From there, contributing to consolidating the close relationship between the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg City and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.
On this occasion, Mr. V.G. Kalganov respectfully conveyed the invitation of the Governor of Saint Petersburg City to the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to spend time visiting Russia and attending the second Russian-Vietnamese People's Forum, expected to take place in October 2026.
Expressing deep gratitude to the invitation of the Governor of Saint Petersburg City, Vice Chairman - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga affirmed that the Russia-Vietnam People's Forum is an opportunity to promote the role of member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to participate in cooperation programs with Saint Petersburg City in a practical, effective and practical direction, thereby contributing to bringing Vietnam to complete the double-digit development goals as set out in the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.
Vice President - General Secretary Ha Thi Nga affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front will make every effort to promote the strength of national unity, participate in consolidating the special friendly relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, contributing to promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries; and at the same time wishes to receive the attention, support, and assistance of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg City to promote people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in the coming time.
