Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Kurenkov is the head of the foreign law enforcement agency that the Ministry of Public Security welcomed after the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the traditional Lunar New Year in Vietnam.
Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that this is an important opportunity to exchange and identify specific measures to promote strong development of the relationship between the two ministries.
Faced with the world experiencing a serious climate change period: earthquakes, storms, floods, droughts, forest fires, tsunamis, rising sea levels, saltwater intrusion, Minister Luong Tam Quang and the Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia agreed to strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels to promote deeper and more effective cooperation, and share more experiences in warning and preventing emergencies.

Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Kurenkov affirmed that cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security continues to be an important pillar in the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
From there, the two sides will continue to expand the cooperation space in areas where the two sides have potential and needs, especially in responding to emergencies.
On this occasion, Minister Luong Tam Quang and Minister Aleksandr Kurenkov agreed that the two sides will soon organize joint fire prevention, fighting and rescue drills with simulated situations of fire and explosion occurring at key energy facilities in Vietnam.
