Completing a large volume of work in the first 6 months of the year
At the expanded Conference of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations on the afternoon of July 7, representatives of leaders of socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State focused on assessing the Party's activities, inspection, supervision and discipline in the first 6 months of the year; supplementing and clarifying the achieved results, assessing limitations, difficulties, and obstacles, and proposing solutions to ensure the completion of political tasks in the last 6 months of the year.
In the first 6 months of 2026, in the context of increasingly high requirements set by the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and central mass organizations, but party cells, party committees, and advisory and assisting agencies of the Party Committee, the Youth Union of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations and all party members, civil servants, public employees, and laborers throughout the Party Committee have highly promoted the spirit of solidarity and strived to successfully implement and complete the assigned tasks, achieving outstanding results.
Party committees and Party organizations at all levels have closely followed the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations and the Resolution of Party congresses at all levels in the Party Committee, with the highest political determination, synchronously and drastically deployed and completed a very large volume of work, including many new and unprecedented tasks.
The Party Committee has successfully led the organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Congress of socio-political organizations. These are political events of particularly important significance, marking a new step in the organization and operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations when implementing the new model. At the same time, the Party Committee continues to lead the drastic implementation of the policy of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus in accordance with the spirit of the Central Resolution and the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
In particular, on May 20, 2026, the Politburo issued Decision No. 171-QD/TW on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations, which is a very important and comprehensive guiding document on the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.
On that basis, the Party Committee promptly issued decisions on working regulations and assignments of tasks for the Standing Committee, Members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and Members of the Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term to ensure the organization and implementation of political tasks in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Vietnam General Confederation of Labor takes better care of workers
Speaking at the discussion session, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the General Confederation and he personally strongly agreed with the report.
Regarding the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Hieu said that in the first 6 months of the year, the unit continued to innovate leadership and direction in a scientific and drastic direction, taking efficiency as a goal. The work of caring for and protecting workers' rights continued to be done well. The amount of money for caring for workers during the recent Lunar New Year increased by 30% compared to the previous year.
The General Confederation of Labour successfully organized the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress. The Congress was organized in a streamlined manner (short term) but still ensured solemnity and great spread.
Regarding internal work: Strictly implement the lifestyle of Party cells, innovate cadre work, internal management and build agency culture.
The General Confederation has also allocated tens of billions of VND to support union members and workers suffering from critical illnesses and occupational diseases. Initially, 29,000 people have been supported, and money has been transferred to workers. The program "Gifts from the Congress" is aimed at workers with cancer and serious illnesses.
Regarding legal advice and medical examination, the General Confederation coordinated with the Vietnam Bar Federation and the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to organize medical examinations, free medicine distribution, and legal advice for tens of thousands of workers in provinces in industrial parks.
Regarding the emulation movement, the General Confederation has launched the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" to promote union members' creativity, improve productivity to serve the goal of double-digit economic growth. Considering "good labor" as a task, "high productivity" as a requirement and "good income" as a goal, learning from Japan's Kaizen continuous improvement model to bring innovation, science and technology into labor.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu proposed to strengthen the implementation of "Month of Listening to the People", clarify the mechanism of consultation and coordination, promote digital transformation; and at the same time pay attention to removing obstacles in the apparatus, staffing and position of mass organizations...

Speaking to direct the Conference, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai requested that in the last 6 months of the year and in the coming time, Party committees and Party organizations at all levels need to focus on overcoming and correcting the shortcomings, limitations, shortcomings, and defects in leadership, direction, and task implementation that have been pointed out in the report; continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility; create clear and substantial changes in all fields of work, determined to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations Bui Thi Minh Hoai proposed to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, and guiding documents of the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat, especially the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Action Program of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and strategic and pillar resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.
Along with that, it is necessary to direct the urgent and timely implementation of the Central Committee's conclusions after a preliminary review of 1 year of operating the overall organizational model of the political system and the 2-level local government model; the focus is on presiding over and coordinating to advise on amending and supplementing Decision No. 304-QD/TW dated June 10, 2025 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Regulation No. 301-QD/TW dated June 9, 2025 of the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Provincial and Commune-level Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai also requested leaders to successfully organize the Congresses of mass associations assigned tasks by the Party and State for the term 2026 - 2031; and at the same time requested mass associations to well implement the preparation for organizing the Congresses according to the decisions of the Secretariat, Decrees of the Government, guidelines of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on a number of contents of organizing the Congresses of mass associations assigned tasks by the Party and State at the Central level for the term 2026 - 2031 and guiding documents of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.
In addition, Party committees and Party organizations at all levels focus on leading the streamlining of the internal organizational structure of each agency, focusing on arranging public service units and press agencies to ensure streamlining, in accordance with the principles and purposes; reviewing legal entities directly under the Mass Mobilization Associations. Especially leading the drastic implementation of digital transformation in agencies and units.
The Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation has just launched the 100-day campaign to standardize specialized databases, connecting with the National Data Center. This is a key step to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, creating a common data platform, promoting digital transformation and improving the efficiency of national governance," Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai suggested and reminded agencies and units to focus on building plans to implement this urgent task, ensuring the completion of the creation and standardization of specialized databases, smooth connection with the data system of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and central mass organizations.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai believes that Party committees and Party organizations at all levels will promote the results achieved in the past time, continue to make efforts and be determined to strive to successfully complete the political tasks assigned in the last 6 months of 2026.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai awarded the Third-class Labor Medal and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals with outstanding and typical achievements in implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues of continuing to innovate and streamline the organizational structure of the political system, operating effectively and efficiently".
