In the 2020 - 2025 term, in the context of rapid and complicated developments in the international and domestic situation; the Party Committee and the organization of the Vietnam Veterans Association have switched to a new organizational model, but the Party Committee has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions, the State's policies and laws; led the comprehensive completion of the goals, targets and tasks of the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; built a clean and strong Party Committee, built a strong Vietnam Veterans Association in politics, ideology and organization; continued to affirm itself as a prestigious socio-political organization, an active member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, a reliable support for the Party, the State and the people.
For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association leads and directs Veterans Associations at all levels to promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; the tradition of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation"; thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Charter of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Focus on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and the quality of Party members; synchronously implementing solutions to streamline the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently; building a team of cadres at all levels with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
At the Congress, representatives of the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations appointing members to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, term 2025-2030; Decision on appointing members, Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen of the Inspection Committee of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, term 2025-2030.
Accordingly, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, term 2025-2030, consists of 13 comrades; the Standing Committee consists of 5 comrades. Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central Trade Unions, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, term 2025-2030.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations emphasized that in the past term, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association has promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, closely following the leadership and direction of the Central Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations, proactively overcoming difficulties, solidarity, comprehensive leadership in all aspects of activities, comprehensively completing the goals, targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. The achievements of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association in the past term have contributed significantly to the overall achievements of the entire Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations.
Agreeing with the direction, tasks and solutions stated in the Political Report, Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations Tran Thang suggested that in the coming term, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association will continue to lead and direct the organization of associations and association members of veterans to promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in building and defending the Party, State and people; strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws. thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Resolution of the Politburo on innovation and improving the quality of organization and operation of the Vietnam Veterans Association in the new situation.
At the same time, lead and direct associations, cadres, members and party members to uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, helping each other to overcome poverty, do business, and improve their lives; thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development. Continue to implement Directive 05-CT/TW dated June 23, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in sustainable poverty reduction by 2030; promote patriotic emulation movements, campaigns of the Central and local governments, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs of the country.
Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central Trade Unions Tran Thang also suggested that the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association focus on innovating, improving the quality and effectiveness of Party building work in politics, attaching importance to Party building in ideology, focusing on Party building in ethics, resolutely protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile views. Build a team of cadres with strong political will, the ability to advise and organize the implementation of tasks; have pure moral qualities, enthusiasm, and responsibility for the Association's work; have reasonable quantity, quality and structure, meeting the requirements of the Association's tasks and development in the new situation; effectively implement the 3 breakthroughs set out, concretized in each program and action.
