Speaking at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, said that after the administrative unit arrangement in 2025, Dak Lak province was newly formed on the basis of the merger between Dak Lak and Phu Yen, with an area of more than 18,000 km2 and a population of nearly 3.5 million people.
This is considered a vast development space, converging many unique elements when there are both forests, sea, plateaus, coastlines and is the living place of 49 brotherly ethnic groups.
Mergers are changing administrative boundaries, but what makes strength is the harmony of people's hearts; boundaries can change, but people's hearts must be connected. But more importantly, it is the convergence of faith, aspiration and spirit of solidarity.
We are very aware that in such a large, diverse and difficult area, national unity is not only a traditional value but also the most solid foundation for sustainable development" - Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong emphasized.
From local practice, Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong proposed that in the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to consolidate and expand the great unity bloc; pay more attention to caring for people's lives, promoting sustainable poverty reduction, especially in remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to promote the role of the people as the subjects in digital transformation, green transformation and digital economy development at the grassroots level, thereby contributing to socio-economic development associated with preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups.
From the reality of Dak Lak province, we deeply believe that: When the Party's will blends with the people's hearts, when millions of hearts beat in unison for the country, there are no difficulties that cannot be overcome, no goals that cannot be achieved! The people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province will continue to join hands and unite to promote internal strength with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to build a rapid and sustainable country" - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province affirmed.
