On June 19, the People's Committee of Tra On district coordinated with the authorities of Tich Thien commune to organize a handover ceremony of the Great Unity house to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra, residing in Cay Gon hamlet, a poor household with particularly difficult housing circumstances.
The house was solidly built with an area of 40m2 (4m wide, 10m long), with a total cost of 90 million VND. In particular, the Binh Minh - Thien Phuoc Fund of Thien Phuoc Pagoda (Tra On town) mobilized Buddhists to support 60 million VND and gave an additional 2 million VND for the family to equip necessary items. The remaining cost was borrowed from relatives by the family, contributing to completing the house to be more spacious and cozy.
At the handover ceremony, leaders of Tra On district and local authorities presented many gifts to celebrate the new house, sent congratulations and encouraged the family to continue to strive to rise up, soon stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra emotionally said: Previously, the house was dilapidated, the house had leaves, and the wind and rain were receding. I thanked the sponsor, the district government, and the commune government for help with the new house. My family is very grateful. I promise to be willing to do business for a more stable life".
The house donation not only helps Mrs. Tra's family have a stable place to live, but also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and concern of all levels, sectors and pagodas in social security work in the locality.
It is known that in 2025, the Binh Minh - Thien Phuoc Fund of Thien Phuoc Pagoda has accompanied Tra On district to support the construction of 12 Great Unity houses, contributing to the effective implementation of the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
