During the days of the 14th National Party Congress taking place, cadres, Party members and people of Co Do commune - the place where the first Party Cell of Can Tho City Party Committee was established - expressed their belief and expectation in the guidelines and policies for the new period.

Representing the young generation, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Dang - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Co Do commune - expects the 14th Congress to continue to pay attention to and promulgate practical mechanisms and policies for union members and youth, especially in the fields of start-ups, empowerment, innovation and digital transformation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Dang, if there are appropriate orientations and policies, the young generation will continue to promote their pioneering and creative role, making positive contributions to socio-economic development in the locality.



Sharing that belief, Mr. Thach Sang - official and Party member of Co Do commune - wished that the 14th Congress would continue to pay more deep attention to ethnic minority areas.
Mr. Thach Sang suggested that the Party and State continue to improve policies on housing, health insurance, tuition fees, transportation infrastructure, and schools in difficult areas.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Lu Thanh Hien - Standing Vice Chairman of Co Do Commune People's Committee (Can Tho City) - affirmed that the 14th Party Congress opens up important strategic orientations for the country in the new period.
The Standing Vice Chairman of Co Do Commune People's Committee expects that the resolutions of the Congress will soon be concretized by practical action programs, creating conditions for officials to feel secure in their work and people to stabilize production, especially in the context of developing the two-level local government model.
An Nam Communist Party Cell Co Do was established on November 10, 1929 in the old Co Do district, is the first Party cell of the Can Tho Party Committee, led by comrade Ha Huy Giap as Secretary. This is also 1 of 3 predecessors of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Previously, on October 31, 2013, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a decision to rank the location of the establishment of the An Nam Communist Party Cell of the Red Flag as a national historical relic. Currently, the relic site is a place for sightseeing, studying, traditional activities, cultural and artistic activities, sports of all classes of people and tourists from near and far.
