Eliminate more than 1,250 temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Thuan

Binh Thuan - Through drastic implementation, more than 1,250 temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Thuan have been repaired and rebuilt.

On June 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Binh Thuan province said that over the past half year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels in the province has innovated many contents and methods of operation. Notably, the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses was assigned by the Provincial Party Committee. To date, 1,263/1,290 newly built and repaired houses have been completed, reaching 98% of the plan.

A bright spot in implementing this meaningful work is the solidarity, contribution of the community. Many organizations and individuals contribute funds, construction materials, working days and support temporary accommodation for households. In some communes, militia and self-defense forces have participated in building houses, contributing to speeding up progress.

To complete on schedule, the Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee has requested departments, branches and localities to focus on completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses that meet legal requirements before June 30, 2025.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Binh Thuan province also supports free meals in hospitals, for poor workers, mobilizes free eye surgery, gives gifts, supports funerals, ... with a total value of more than 5.8 billion VND, contributing to sharing difficulties with poor households and near-poor households to improve their lives. The "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province as of mid-May had mobilized nearly 8.5 billion VND, reaching nearly 90%.

Ms. Bo Thi Xuan Linh - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province suggested that all levels and member organizations need to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in the direction of promoting emulation movements and campaigns, through specific and practical action programs at the grassroots level. Promote the role, improve the quality and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province has announced the Decision to end the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level, end the activities of the Ethnic and Religious Advisory Council of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

At the same time, 13 collectives and 10 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit for their achievements in the patriotic emulation movement, period 2020 - 2025; 12 individuals with achievements in front work in the first 6 months of 2025.
