The meteorological agency predicts that from now until September 4, storm No. 5 will move in a Northeast direction, outwards and will not affect our mainland.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 13:00 on September 1, the storm's center was located at about 19.9 degrees North latitude - 114.4 degrees East longitude, over the northern sea area of the Northern East Sea. The strongest wind near the storm's center was level 8 (62 - 74 km/h), gusting to level 10. The storm is moving in the Northeast direction at a speed of about 20 km/h.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in a Northeast direction, at a speed of about 15 km/h.

By 13:00 on September 2nd, the storm's center will be located at about 21.8 degrees North latitude - 117.1 degrees East longitude; over the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea. Wind intensity is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is located about the north of latitude 18.5 degrees North latitude; from longitude 112.5 to 118.5 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the sea area north of the Northern East Sea area.

Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a Northeast direction, then Northwest, at a speed of 5-10 km/h.

By 13:00 on September 3, the storm's center will be located at about 22.8 degrees North latitude - 117.7 degrees East longitude; over the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea. Wind intensity is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is located about the north of latitude 20.5 degrees North latitude; from longitude 116 to 119.5 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea.

Forecast for the next 72 hours, the storm will move in a westerly direction, at a speed of 3-5 km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.

By 13:00 on September 4, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 22.8 degrees North latitude - 116.8 degrees East longitude; in the sea area southeast of Guangdong province (China). Wind intensity is strong at level 7, gusting at level 9.

The dangerous area is located about 21.5 degrees North latitude; from 116 to 119 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea.

From 72 to 120 hours later, the tropical depression will move in a West-Southwest direction, moving about 3km per hour, gradually weakening in intensity.

Regarding the impact of the storm, at sea, the sea area north of the Northern East Sea area has strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 8-9, sea waves 3-5m high; the area near the storm center passing through is strong at level 8, gusts of level 10, sea waves 4-6m high; strong rough seas.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
