The strongest wind near the storm center is level 9-10 (75-102km/h), gusting to level 13. The storm is moving northwest at a speed of 10-15km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the storm will continue to move north-northwest and northwest at a speed of about 15-20km/h.
At 4:00 a.m. on September 8, the center of the storm was at about 21.2 degrees north latitude; 112.6 degrees east longitude, about 180km southwest of Macateo (China). The strongest wind near the storm center is level 10, gusting to level 13.
The danger zone is north of latitude 17.5 degrees north; from longitude 111.0 to 116.5 degrees east. Natural disaster risk level 3, affecting the northern sea area of the North East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move northwest at a speed of 20km/h and weaken into a tropical depression.
At 4:00 p.m. on September 8, the center of the tropical depression was at about 22.9 degrees north latitude; 111.2 degrees east longitude, on the mainland south of Guangdong province (China). The strongest wind is level 7, gusting to level 9.
The danger zone is north of latitude 18.5 degrees north; from longitude 110.5 to 115.0 degrees east. Natural disaster risk level 3, affecting the northern sea area of the North East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the storm will move west-northwest, at a speed of about 15km/h and weaken into a low pressure area.
At 4:00 p.m. on September 9, the center of the low pressure was at about 23.9 degrees north latitude; 108.0 degrees east longitude, in the mainland of Guangxi province (China). Wind intensity below level 6.
Regarding the impact of the storm at sea, the sea area north of the North East Sea will have strong winds of level 7 - 8, the area near the storm's eye will have strong winds of level 9 - 10, gusts of level; waves 4 - 6m high, very rough seas. Ship operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
The meteorological agency noted that although not directly affected by the storm's circulation, areas on the far edge of the storm's circulation such as the Gulf of Tonkin and the eastern coastal areas of the North may experience thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind.
