The Da Nang City Civil Defense Command has just issued a warning of the risk of unsafety at sea due to the influence of the low pressure area at sea. According to the Central Hydrometeorological Station, this low pressure area is moving in the West Northwest direction, expected to enter the East Sea in the next 24-36 hours.
From August 27-28, the northern and central East Sea, including the Hoang Sa sea area, will have strong winds and bad weather. In addition, on the occasion of September 2, Da Nang is affected by the tropical convergence zone, which is likely to form a tropical cyclone in the East Sea, causing scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain, with tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
To proactively respond, the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command requests the Military Command, Border Guard, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, People's Committees of coastal communes and wards to promptly notify owners of vehicles and boats operating at sea of low pressure areas for prevention. Relevant units need to closely monitor weather developments, warn of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning to proactively handle possible situations.
