On November 24, Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited said that the unit had just proposed to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to allocate more than 99.5 billion VND to urgently repair 7 degraded reservoirs in the old Binh Thuan area.
This is considered urgent to ensure the safety of dams, serve water supply for agricultural production, daily life, industry and contribute to economic development for localities.

The list of priority lakes for repairs includes: Song Quao, Suoi Da, Ca Giang Ham Hiep, Gieng Co, Bo Bo, Nam Heo and Song Dinh Forest.
In particular, Song Quao Lake (Ham Thuan Bac Commune) needs to upgrade auxiliary dam No. 3 with a length of 325m. Currently, the dam has a phenomenon of seepage through the foundation and body of the dam when the water is collected at elevation of +89.38m. The estimated repair cost is 14.2 billion VND.
Suoi Da Lake (Hong Son Commune) is the project with the highest proposed repair cost of 21.3 billion VND.

The remaining group of lakes including: Gien Co (Ham Liem commune), Ca Giang Ham Hiep (Binh Thuan ward), Bo Bo (Hai Ninh commune), Nam Heo ( Luong Son commune) and Song Dinh Forestry (Suoi Kiet commune) also recorded many similar damages. The cost of repairing each lake is from 12 - 14 billion VND.
It is known that Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited currently manages 159 irrigation works. Of which, there are 49 reservoirs, 89 dams and 21 pumping stations.
