In the Central Highlands and the South in the late afternoon and evening of May 20, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 30mm, some places over 50mm.
In the afternoon and evening of May 21, these two areas will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 40mm, some places over 70mm.
The Northern region is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening of May 20 and May 21. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
From the night of May 22 to May 24, the Northern region is likely to experience a period of moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with total rainfall of 70 - 150mm, some places over 250mm.
In the North Central region, from the evening and night of May 23 to the night of May 24, there is a possibility of moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with total rainfall of 40 - 100mm, some places over 150mm.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of heavy rain (rainfall greater than 80mm within 3 hours).
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes.
