According to the list of codes for admission methods in the textbook on university and college admissions published by the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025, there will be a total of 19 admission methods to universities and colleges.
Compared to 2024, this year the Ministry has eliminated 4 methods including: Considering the combination of direct admission according to the project and other methods; direct admission according to the project of the training institution; combining interviews with other criteria for admission; combining international certificates with other criteria for admission.
However, the Ministry of Education and Training also added 3 new methods including: Using an international SAT certificate or other international certificate eligible for admission; V-SAT exam; using V-SAT exam results organized by another unit for admission
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the admission method code includes 3 characters freely defined by the self- definable training institution but must be related to the admission method code prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, or the admission method code prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training can be used as below:

Regarding the admission combination code, the Ministry of Education and Training guides that for the admission method based on high school graduation exam results or high school learning results (using a combination code such as admission using high school exam results) the Admission combination code is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Ministry of Education and Training has added a list of combining codes suitable for subjects under the 2018 general program for training institutions to uniformly use (training institutions to download the list of combinations on professional services). Training institutions to load admissions code on professional skills; For gifted combinations, gifted subjects NK1 and NK2 are prescribed by the training institution.
For other admission methods: The combination code consists of 3 characters and is self-regulated by the training institution.
