The low pressure trough has an axis at about 5 - 7 degrees north latitude connecting to the low pressure area. At 10:00 on December 10, the low pressure area was at about 5.5 - 6.5 degrees north latitude; 109.5 - 110.5 degrees east longitude.
It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the low pressure area will move west-southwest, traveling about 20km per hour, weakening and gradually dissipating. The circulation of the low pressure area combined with cold air causes bad weather in some sea areas.
Day and night of December 10, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; rough seas; wave height 2 - 4 m.
The sea area west of the Central East Sea, the sea area west of the South East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa province) and the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau have winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; rough seas; wave height 2.5 - 3.5 m.
In addition, on the day and night of December 10, the sea area west of the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7.

The meteorological agency warns that the risk level of natural disasters at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
