Cold air is dominating the weather in the East Sea, causing quite strong northeast winds. Many areas recorded strong winds of level 6-7, some places gusting above level 8, causing rough seas.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North East Sea area has strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7; at Huyen Tran station, there are strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 8 - 9.
Day and night on December 6, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas; waves 3 - 5 m high.
The central East Sea area, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa area) will have northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas; waves 3 - 5 m high.
The sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have winds of level 5 during the day, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7, rough seas; waves of 2 - 4 m high; at night the wind will gradually decrease.
In addition, on the day and night of December 6, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have scattered rain in the coastal areas; the sea area south of the South China Sea (including the sea area south of Truong Sa area) and the area south of the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7.

The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
