A crack tens of meters long appeared on National Highway 1 through Deo Ngang

Quang Tri - People discovered a large crack on National Highway 1 through Deo Ngang, up to 3cm wide, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.

On December 4, local people said that the section of National Highway 1 through Deo Ngang area connecting Quang Tri - Ha Tinh had a large crack on the road surface. Some cracks are about 3cm wide, can reach the fingers, are tens of meters long and appear clearly on the asphalt layer.

According to the people, this situation causes a very worrying risk of landslides or road surface breakage, especially for vehicles traveling below the steep foot.

Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the route management unit said that they had grasped the information and reported to the specialized agency to check and assess the level of danger.

According to this unit, the traffic volume through the route is not much because the majority choose to take the tunnel. Currently, the technical force is checking to have more specific information about the incident.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on December 1, at the foot of Deo Ngang (in Vinh Son village), people discovered earthworm carcasses lying everywhere on concrete paths and people's gardens and extended to the edge of National Highway 1.
