The mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region and Quang Ninh from the evening of July 23 to July 25 are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 70 - 150mm, locally very heavy rain over 300mm.

The meteorological agency forecasts that from the night of July 25, heavy rain in the Northern region will gradually decrease.

Thanh Hoa area from the evening of July 24 to July 25, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 30 - 70mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 100mm within 3 hours.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions in the evening and night of July 23, are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally heavy rain over 50mm. From July 24, the Central Highlands and Southern regions will have rain, moderate rain with rainfall of 20 - 40mm/24h, locally heavy to very heavy rain over 80mm/24h.

Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.

Flood warning on rivers in the North

Regarding the hydrological situation, currently, the water level on the main rivers in the Northern region has small fluctuations and is below alarm level 1.

Warning from the night of July 23 to July 25, a flood is likely to appear on rivers in the Northern region, with a flood amplitude of 2-5m. During this flood, the peak flood on small rivers, upstream of the Thao, Chay, Lo, Cau, and Thuong rivers will reach alarm level 1-alarm level 2, with some rivers above alarm level 2.
