On the afternoon of September 16, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updated the weather forecast for the coming days in regions across the country.

The Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms; especially the Lai Chau, Dien Bien and northern Son La provinces have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. From the night of September 17, rain will gradually decrease.
The area from Ha Tinh to Hue will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night, with locally heavy rain.
Other areas have showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms are likely to occur with tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the East of Quang Ngai province will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. From about September 21, the rain will gradually decrease.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions from September 18-21, will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain; then showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and night.
