On October 12, the leader of Hoa Ninh commune (Lam Dong province) said that he had assigned the Economic Department to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and handle the livestock facility of Mr. Pham Van Quyet (village 7, Hoa Ninh commune).
Initial inspection results show that Mr. Quyet has not yet presented valid documents on barn construction, livestock licensing, environmental records and business registration certificates.
At the time of inspection, the stench from the livestock area was spreading into the environment, affecting more than 24 households in the village.

The People's Committee of Hoa Ninh commune requires Mr. Quyet's household to apply technical measures to treat wastewater, emissions, and solid waste to ensure environmental standards; at the same time, contact specialized agencies for instructions on properly implementing regulations on livestock, environment, construction, and land.
The Commune Economic Department is assigned to coordinate with the Provincial Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring to promptly have the results of the analysis of wastewater samples, as a basis for advising the Commune People's Committee on handling violations and overcoming the consequences (if any).
This unit is also responsible for working with affected households, collecting additional documents, evidence and information to publicize the inspection results.

On the other hand, the People's Committee of Hoa Ninh commune assigned the Commune Police to coordinate in the process of handling the pollution situation from Mr. Quyet's pig farm.
According to people's feedback, despite many inspections by authorities, the pig farm continues to discharge waste directly into the environment.
This causes wastewater and foul odors to seriously affect the lives of many households.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Pork farm discharges waste, turning streams black, the stench covers the entire village in Lam Dong".
The content of the article reflects the people of Hoa Ninh commune crying out for help because they have to live with heavy pollution from the pig farm discharging waste in the area.
