The "Clean Up Son Tra and Da Nang Beach Cleaning Campaign" is organized by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches in coordination with the City Youth Union - City Student Association, City People's Committee Bloc Youth Union, Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and related units.
The event aims to raise awareness of the community and tourists in reducing plastic waste, protecting forest and marine resources, preserving the beach landscape and gradually building Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang beaches into green and sustainable tourist destinations.

In the Man Thai, Tho Quang sea area and Hoang Sa road leading to Linh Ung Son Tra pagoda, volunteers will collect and clean up garbage along the sidewalks and sandy beaches to restore a clean and beautiful landscape.
In addition, this year's program also includes the activity "Diving to pick up trash, Protect coral and marine ecosystems" held in the Hon Sup area (Son Tra peninsula). Volunteers participating in this activity will be trained in swimming and diving skills, fully equipped with specialized tools to collect trash from the seabed and cut off "ghost nets" entangled in coral reefs, avoiding damage to the natural ecosystem.

At the Le Van Luong - Hoang Sa intersection, a Workshop with the theme "Protecting Wildlife" will take place. Here, the organizers will display a photo exhibition "Harmfulness of Feeding Monkeys", introducing the activities of the "Monkey Rescue Squad", to propagate and remind tourists to change their habits of feeding wild animals, avoiding changing natural habits and causing adverse effects on the ecosystem of the reserve.
Previously, in response to the 2026 Action Month for the Environment, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches coordinated to organize 4 general cleaning campaigns with more than 1,000 volunteers. The unit also mobilized coastal business households to equip more than 200 trash cans and 20 sand sieves to improve the efficiency of beach cleaning.
Representatives of the Management Board said that the fact that Da Nang beaches continuously receive high appreciation from organizations and international tourists is both a source of pride and pressure in maintaining and protecting the environment.
In the coming time, the Management Board will continue to coordinate with relevant units to synchronously implement many sustainable solutions, including: increasing the frequency of garbage collection during peak hours; requiring business households to limit disposable plastic items; installing additional surveillance cameras to remind and handle violations of environmental sanitation. At the same time, the "no smoking, no littering" warning sign system and propaganda loudspeakers will be strengthened along key sea routes to preserve the city's green tourism brand.
