At about 3:30 pm on March 14, heavy rain lasted for more than 2 hours in Bao Lam 3 commune (Lam Dong). Heavy rain caused National Highway 55, the section passing through hamlet 9, to be heavily flooded, with water rising on a road section hundreds of meters long.

Records at the scene show that National Highway 55 was flooded from 0.5 - 0.8m deep, causing this road section to almost "turn into a river" for nearly an hour.
Many vehicles, mainly motorbikes, broke down when traveling through the area. Flooding also flooded into some houses along the road, wetting furniture and property.

After receiving information, Bao Lam 3 Commune People's Committee mobilized forces from the Military Command and Commune Police to be present at the scene to regulate and divert traffic, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

Functional forces also support people to move belongings and property to safe places; clear the flow and help people clean up after the water recedes.
At about 6:30 pm on the same day, the rain stopped, the water gradually receded and traffic on National Highway 55 returned to normal.

According to local people, for many years they have never witnessed a prolonged heavy rain in the middle of the dry season in the Central Highlands causing National Highway 55 to be so deeply flooded.
