On the afternoon of November 5, Mr. Than Nguyen Vinh Thang - Chief of Office of Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee said that the locality is coordinating with relevant units to remove difficulties and inadequacies at Bao Loc Waste Treatment Plant.
The fact that the plant has left more than 64,000 tons of waste behind for a long time poses a serious risk of environmental pollution. Currently, many areas in the waste treatment plant are stagnant, overgrown with weeds.

According to the People's Committee of Bao Loc Ward 3, this situation is prolonged due to many reasons. In particular, the main reason is that the machinery system is old, often damaged and the long-term unpaid wages of workers have not been resolved.
In particular, the Bao Loc Construction Investment Project Management Board and Friendly Green Environment Joint Stock Company - the factory operator - have not yet agreed on a unit price for waste treatment.
Therefore, the factory has not been paid for expenses for many months, and has no funding to pay salaries.

Up to now, Friendly Green Environment Joint Stock Company owes workers more than 2 billion VND in wages. Due to unpaid wages, many workers have quit their jobs.
Before proposing to return to work, workers asked the company to advance at least 800 million VND before returning to work. On November 5, the company temporarily paid 300 million VND, committing to pay the remaining amount as soon as possible.
The leader of Bao Loc Ward 3 said that the Ward Union will step in to protect the legitimate rights of workers.
On the same day, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province worked with the People's Committee of Bao Loc Ward 3 to find a solution to remove difficulties for the factory.

Mr. Le Dinh Trong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Friendly Green Environment Joint Stock Company, said that the company is investing in a new large-capacity machinery separator and incinerator system, expected to increase processing capacity to 600 tons/day and night, instead of more than 150 tons as before.
From April 2024 to now, the unit price for waste treatment has continuously changed, from 453,000 VND/ton to 136,000 VND/ton, currently temporarily applying the level of 300,000 VND/ton but only 75% is paid.
Mr. Trong said that regular changes in unit prices have greatly affected waste treatment efficiency, and at the same time recommended that the authorities reconsider unit prices to better suit the reality.
