On September 11, Mr. Ho Quoc Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Cat Tien commune (Lam Dong) said that heavy rain caused the water level of the Dong Nai River section passing through the commune to rise, flowing rapidly, causing riverbank erosion in some areas.

According to Mr. Phong, among the landslide points on the Dong Nai riverbank, the area adjacent to Ring Road 3J, in hamlet 4, is developing seriously.
Currently, the landslide location is about 5m deep into the bank, extending 15m and is at risk of continuing to spread.
Immediately after discovering the incident, Cat Tien Commune People's Committee directed the Commune Military Command to coordinate with forces to stretch ropes and plant warning signs, limiting people and vehicles from passing through the landslide area to ensure safety.

Functional forces are continuing to monitor the diễn biến of landslides, proactively implement response plans, and prevent unsafety for people.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thuan - Vice Chairman of Cat Tien Commune People's Committee said that in the face of the complicated developments of rain and floods, the locality has reported on the landslide situation on the Dong Nai riverbank, in which special attention is paid to the landslide location in the 3J ring road area, belonging to hamlet 4.
The locality proposed that relevant departments and agencies soon consider and have solutions to support the remediation of landslides, protect the road and ensure safe travel for people.
