On the afternoon of October 17, the leader of Nam Ban Lam Ha commune (Lam Dong) said: At 13:20 on the same day, rescue forces and local people found the body of Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Nga.
Ms. Nga's body was found in Gia Lam stream, at the end of Voi waterfall, about 6 km from the scene of the incident.
Rescue forces from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, Nam Ban Lam Ha Commune Police, and other forces proceeded to salvage the victim's body from the stream.
The authorities are taking professional measures to investigate and clarify the cause of the victim's death; at the same time, completing the file to hand over the victim to the family for funeral arrangements.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: On the afternoon of October 14, the locality received a report that while playing at Voi Waterfall, Ms. Nga unfortunately slipped and fell into the waterfall and went missing. The incident was quickly reported to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police.
After receiving the report, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 2 (Lam Dong Provincial Police) mobilized more than 20 officers, soldiers, equipment and vehicles to coordinate with the forces of Nam Ban Lam Ha commune to quickly arrive to carry out the search and rescue work.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities according to regulations.
