Can Tho City People's Committee has officially issued a Decision approving the Plan to inspect compliance with environmental protection laws for organizations and individuals in Can Tho City in 2025.
According to the Plan of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, the purpose of the inspection is to strengthen state management of environmental protection for organizations and individuals in production, business and service activities, to ensure sustainable socio-economic development associated with environmental protection in the city.
Accordingly, the competent authority will inspect and guide organizations and individuals to properly and fully implement the provisions of the law on environmental protection in production, business and service activities; propose handling of administrative violations when detecting violations of environmental protection.
There are 2 groups of subjects that need to be checked. The first group of subjects is organizations and individuals producing, trading, and providing services subject to environmental impact assessment reports, environmental licenses, environmental protection projects, and environmental protection plans in Can Tho City (subjects of periodic inspection).
The second group of subjects is organizations and individuals producing, trading, and operating services with signs of violating the law related to environmental pollution.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units (participating as members) to decide to establish an Inspection Team and conduct work in the fourth quarter of 2025.
