On August 3, fishermen in the coastal areas of Lien Huong commune, Lam Dong province organized the bringing of Ong fish to shore and buried Ong fish according to customs.
Previously, on the afternoon of August 2, fishermen here discovered whale about 11 meters long, weighing about 6 tons, having drifted ashore.

The local authorities and fishermen mobilized excavators to pull and bring the whale to shore. After that, fishermen organized the burial of Ong fish according to traditional customs and ensured environmental hygiene.

It is known that Ong Fish is a common name for the whale species.

The fact that the whale wades ashore and floats into the sea of Lien Huong commune is considered by fishermen to be a sign of good luck when fishing at sea and in the lives of fishermen here.
