On April 24, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that 2 officers from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Provincial Police had just promptly donated blood to save a child with a serious illness.

Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on April 23, upon receiving information that a patient was being treated at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital for blood type O, Senior Lieutenant Le Trong Quyen and Lieutenant Nguyen Trung Duc - officers of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - quickly arrived and donated blood to save lives.
The patient is Loc Van Th (8 years old, in Tao village, Trung Ly commune, Muong Lat district) with a serious illness, admitted to the hospital with a very low glycemic index, endangering his life. Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital has coordinated with Thanh Hoa General Hospital for emergency care, but the hospital's blood warehouse lacks the appropriate O blood type, while family members cannot donate blood because they are not in the same blood type.
The patient's family is in difficult circumstances. To take Th to the emergency room, Trung Ly Commune Police and her family traveled nearly 200km, making her health even worse.
Having received information from Trung Ly Commune Police to share and mobilize support for blood donation, Senior Lieutenant Quyen and Lieutenant Duc (with blood type O) quickly went to the hospital, performing the act of donating blood to save lives.
Thanks to timely blood transfusion, Loc Van Th was out of danger. She is being monitored and actively treated by doctors at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital and Thanh Hoa General Hospital.
