On September 23, the Military Command (CHQS) of Da Nang City coordinated with the Da Nang City Youth Union, VCCorp Joint Stock Company, Thien Nhan Society Fund and Social Impact Organization to organize the "Bright Moon everywhere" program in 2026 with the theme "Soldier Moon" at Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Dinh Van Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Military Command affirmed: "Caring for children is a task, a responsibility and a noble sentiment of the entire Party, people, and army... Caring for students in mountainous and border areas is not simply an activity during the Mid-Autumn Festival, but also a part of political - social significance, profound humanistic significance, showing the concern of the Party, State, Army and the whole society for the cause of education, care and protection of children.
In particular, for the armed forces of Da Nang city, taking care of the people, accompanying the locality, contributing to building the people's hearts, taking care of the future generations of the country is one of the important functions and tasks, a command from the heart of Uncle Ho's soldiers, of officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Da Nang city".
At the program, highland children were immersed in the bustling Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere with many exciting activities such as welcoming arts, lion - dragon dances, breaking feasts to watch the moon and burning campfires for community activities. In particular, the 5-minute fireworks display of the Ministry of National Defense at the end of the program brought joy and excitement to a large number of children and local people.
In addition to entertainment activities, officers and soldiers also organized many practical tasks such as free haircuts for 100 students; medical examinations, health consultations and medicine distribution for 200 children; displaying booths of books, school supplies, clothes, toys; donating more than 1,000 book titles and legal bookshelves with QR codes; and integrating propaganda and dissemination of legal education through folk games and quizzes.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to 100% of students of 6 boarding primary and secondary schools in difficult communes (Dak Pring, La Eee, La De, Hung Son, Tay Giang and A Vuong) including televisions, bicycles, school supplies, backpacks, clothes, lanterns... In addition, the program also supported gifts for the Board of Directors of 6 schools and 30 teachers in difficult circumstances.
The program also officially launched the "Ngân hà ước mơ" initiative, initially realizing nearly 100 wishes of highland students.
Gifts and meaningful activities have contributed to bringing children in remote and isolated areas a warm and complete Mid-Autumn Festival. From there, affirming the role, feelings and responsibility of the city's armed forces and accompanying units in social security work, contributing to tightening military-civilian solidarity in difficult areas.
