On the evening of February 2nd, Can Tho City Oncology Hospital coordinated with the Can Tho Cancer Society and the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, Can Tho branch to organize the Fundraising Program to support poor cancer patients in 2026.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Vo Van Kha - Director of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital, Director of the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, Can Tho branch - expressed that for poor patients, the burden of hospital fees and living expenses during prolonged treatment makes the journey even more difficult. Therefore, mobilizing the community's joint efforts is of particular importance, helping patients to be more confident in the treatment process.
According to Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, the program not only brings practical material resources but also strongly spreads the message of love, social responsibility and compassion in the community. The results of the mobilization are a vivid proof of the joint efforts and consensus of all levels, sectors, business communities and philanthropists towards social security and care for disadvantaged circumstances.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program has mobilized a total of 3.6 billion VND, including 1.6 billion VND in cash and 2 billion VND in kind, contributing practically to sharing difficulties and adding strength to cancer patients in difficult circumstances in the Mekong Delta.

It is known that in the period 2018-2024, the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, Can Tho branch has mobilized an average of about 10 billion VND per year, supporting nearly 50,000 turns of cancer patients in difficult circumstances; in 2025 alone, the total support budget reached about 33 billion VND.
Over the years, the Cancer Patient Support Fund of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital has become a reliable bridge, gathering social resources to implement many practical activities such as supporting hospital fees and living expenses; maintaining free daily meals for patients; organizing "0-dong bus trips" to transport patients in difficult circumstances...
This year's program also integrates cultural and artistic activities, humane exchanges, honoring doctors and silent charitable hearts.
