On the evening of December 19, the Traffic Police - Order Team (Sa Pa Town Police) informed that at 10:40 a.m. on December 19, the unit received a report from Mr. Millan Janak Hiren Mistry (born 2003, British nationality) that at around 8:00 p.m. on December 18, he took a taxi from the town center to May Homestay in Van Den Su 1 village, Muong Hoa commune.
During the trip, he forgot a bag containing his passport, cash and some personal belongings in the taxi (because he couldn't remember which taxi company he took because he didn't call the operator to book a taxi).
Immediately after receiving the report, the town police urgently verified the taxi companies in the town to find the property for the tourists.
By professional measures, by 11am the same day, the authorities identified the taxi driver who took the British tourist from Sa Pa town center to May Homestay as Mr. Tan Lao Lo (born in 1991).
Sa Pa town police invited Mr. Lo to work, received and contacted to return the property to Mr. Millan Janak Hiren Mistry.
Upon receiving his property back, Mr. Millan Janak Hiren Mistry expressed his emotions and proactively wrote a letter to thank the enthusiasm and responsibility of the Sa Pa Town Police for quickly finding his property, helping him not to affect his schedule during his stay in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) as well as in Vietnam.
