Action without hesitation
These days, people in the Hoang Chau sea area (Cat Hai special zone, Hai Phong) still remember the story of 4 young men who did not care about danger, jumping into the water to save 2 young children.
According to people, at about 5:30 pm on April 12, 2 8th grade girls were swimming in the sea in Duoi village, Hoang Chau when they were unfortunately swept away by big waves. In the midst of big waves and strong water, 4 men rushed down to the sea from the shore, promptly bringing the 2 children ashore safely. The 4 "heroes" mentioned are Mr. Doan Viet Sang (37 years old), Mr. Ngo Quang Long (36 years old), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai and Mr. Doan Hong Thai (25 years old, all in Cat Hai special zone).
Recounting the moment of rescuing people, Mr. Doan Viet Sang shared that on the afternoon of April 12, around 5 pm, Mr. Sang and his wife went to the sea to catch the breeze. The couple were walking on the beach when they heard a woman screaming and calling for help. Looking down at the sea, they saw someone struggling in the middle of the river. As a reflex, Mr. Sang quickly ran into the sea, swam out to rescue, and brought one person ashore safely. "At that time, the waves were very big, when I approached the baby, he was still breathing but his limbs were not moving. I quickly brought him ashore, luckily both were safe" - Mr. Sang recounted.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai's account, at the time of the incident, Mr. Hai and 2 friends were sitting on the shore watching the sea. Hearing the mother's screams, Hai and his friend Doan Hong Thai rushed into the sea to save people. At this time, the baby girl was struggling in the big waves, Hai grabbed the baby's shirt and pulled her ashore. At that moment, Mr. Ngo Quang Long also swam to the place, Mr. Hai, Mr. Thai and Mr. Long helped bring the victim ashore safely, and together with the people took the baby for first aid.
Drowning warning
After being brought ashore, the child was given first aid by the people of Hoang Chau and the medical team of Cat Hai special zone and quickly transferred to the hospital for emergency treatment. Currently, the children's health has stabilized. The remaining child is lighter, so after being rescued, the family took them home to take care of them. Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, the mother of one of the two children, emotionally shared: "Seeing my child waving her hand for help in the whirlpool but not being able to do anything to save her, I felt like I was suffocated at that moment. But luckily, there are brothers who did not mind the difficulties and dangers in the whirlpool and bravely regained my child from the hands of death, saving my child ashore. One word of thanks cannot fully describe the feelings of the family for the brothers as well as the people at Hoang Chau beach on the afternoon of April 12 who supported the child's rescue. This is an extremely noble gesture that the family will always remember.

As for Mr. Ngo Quang Long (36 years old), one of the 4 people who directly rescued the 2 young children, receiving the news that the children were safe and their health recovered, he and everyone felt very happy and happy because they had done something meaningful. Mr. Long also said that the beach in Hoang Chau area recently has been very crowded with people from other places coming to play and swim. However, this area has big waves, which is very dangerous, especially for young children. Therefore, Mr. Long also hopes that the government and functional agencies will have necessary warnings for people to be vigilant and ensure safety when coming to play and swim here.
